About Carl Cox: Carl Cox is a British house and techno DJ, radio host and producer, born in Oldham in 1962 and raised in south London. He started out as a teenage mobile DJ before Chicago acid house reshaped his direction in the late 1980s, becoming a forefather of the UK rave scene; his 1991 debut single 'I Want You (Forever)' was a UK chart hit, and his second album 'Phuture 2000' (1999) spawned 'Dr. Funk' and soundtracked the film 'Human Traffic'. He founded Intec Records in 1999, held his landmark 'Music Is Revolution' residency at Space Ibiza from 2001 to 2016, and returned in 2022 with the live-hardware techno album 'Electronic Generations' on BMG.
