About Takuya Nakamura: Takuya Nakamura is a Tokyo-born, New York-based trumpeter, composer and producer whose music flows between jazz, jungle, drum & bass, dub and techno. A former student of jazz theorist George Russell and a graduate of Boston's New England Conservatory, he became a fixture of New York's downtown underground in the 1990s, performing with Jojo Mayer's Nerve and CocoRosie and collaborating with figures such as Quincy Jones and David Byrne.
