About Regal86: Regal86 is a producer and DJ from Monterrey, Mexico, named after the 1986 Buick Regal. He began making boom-bap beats in FL Studio as a teenager, produced heavily from his bedroom around 2010 and taught himself to DJ through YouTube tutorials. His 2019 EP 'Delayed' (written during a five-hour airport delay in Guadalajara) and the six-hour 2021 compilation 'Unearthed' built his reputation, after which he quit his day job; the 100-track 'Unearthed Vol. II' followed in 2023 and his first vinyl, 'Doble Filo', arrived on Colombia's Discos Nutabe in 2026. Mainly filed under techno and hard groove, his catalogue draws on Memphis rap, G-funk, jungle, juke, footwork, gabber and Latin percussion, with hundreds of tracks on Bandcamp, a monthly NTS show and bookings at Dekmantel and Unsound.
