About Octo Octa: Maya Bouldry-Morrison, born in Chicago in 1987 and raised in New Hampshire, began releasing house music as Octo Octa in 2011 on 100% Silk after early IDM and breakcore experiments. The albums 'Between Two Selves' (2013), 'Where Are We Going?' (2017) and the breakbeat-leaning 'Resonant Body' (2019) established her rave-nostalgic, emotive house sound. She came out as transgender in 2016 and in 2019 co-founded the T4T LUV NRG label with her partner Eris Drew, with whom she regularly tours and plays back-to-back. Full profile →
