About Major Lazer: Major Lazer is an American electronic group founded in 2008 by Diplo and Switch, built around a fusion of dancehall and reggae with house, soca, reggaeton and moombahton. The lineup has shifted repeatedly — Switch left in 2011, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire joined, and Ape Drums replaced Jillionaire in 2019.
