About Machine Girl: Machine Girl is an American electronic project founded on Long Island in 2012 by Matt Stephenson, who expanded it into a duo in 2015 with live drummer Sean Kelly. Their sound violently fuses breakcore, jungle, footwork, punk and noise into what Stephenson calls ‘fucked-up electronic punk.’ The 2014 breakout WLFGRL introduced breakcore and jungle to a new online generation, and later records like U-Void Synthesizer (2023) cemented their reputation for chaotic, high-intensity live shows.
