About kuru: kuru is Keegan Foley, an American rapper and producer from Rockville, Maryland who emerged from the online digicore and hyperpop underground, and a member of the DMV collective TooManyStrikers alongside the Helix Tears and graveem1nd crews. He began recording during the 2020 pandemic and released his debut album re:wired in 2024, then broke through with 2026's Backstage Hologram, a record that folds jerk rap, J-pop, breakbeat and DMV hip-hop into a hyper-digital sound.
