About Kevin Saunderson: Kevin Saunderson is one of the Belleville Three — the high school friends from Belleville, Michigan who, with Juan Atkins and Derrick May, invented Detroit techno in the 1980s. Born in New York and raised outside Detroit, he is known as the trio's elevator for pushing the sound into the mainstream: his group Inner City, formed with vocalist Paris Grey, scored nine UK top 40 hits and combined sales of more than six million behind 'Good Life' and 'Big Fun'. He founded the KMS label on his own initials in 1986 and has recorded harder, rawer techno under aliases including Reese, E-Dancer and Tronik House. Full profile →
