About James Hype: James Hype is James Edward Lee Marsland, born in Wirral, Merseyside, who discovered music online at thirteen, was given a set of decks for his fifteenth birthday and landed his first club residency at sixteen. A turntablist at heart, he performs on a four-deck Pioneer setup and built his reputation on technically dazzling live mixing rather than pre-planned sets. His originals broke through with 'More Than Friends' (2017) and 'You Give Me a Feeling' with Vintage Culture (2021), before 'Ferrari' featuring Miggy Dela Rosa passed a billion streams in 2022.
