About Green Velvet: American DJ, producer and singer Curtis Alan Jones, a pillar of Chicago house known for his signature green mohawk. He debuted the Cajmere alias in 1991 with the 'Underground Goodies' EP on his own Cajual Records, followed in 1992 by the classic 'Coffee Pot (It's Time for the Percolator)', and launched the techno-leaning offshoot Relief in 1993.
