About DJ Diesel: DJ Diesel is Shaquille O'Neal, the four-time NBA champion who has run a parallel music career since long before his basketball retirement. He learned to mix in 1988 at Cole High School in San Antonio, having bought his first turntables at 14 from a pawn shop for $200 after seeing Public Enemy's Terminator X, and his 1993 debut rap album Shaq Diesel went platinum. He returned to DJing seriously after retiring in 2011, and a 2014 TomorrowWorld set by Skrillex pushed him toward dubstep; he has performed as DJ Diesel since 2015. His album GORILLA WARFARE landed on Monstercat, and he has collaborated with Steve Aoki, NGHTMRE, Riot Ten and Eliminate while playing Lost Lands, EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland and Lollapalooza and launching his own Shaq's Bass All Stars festival series.
