About Damian Lazarus: Damian Lazarus is a British DJ, producer and label boss who started out as a music journalist and copywriter at Dazed & Confused and head of A&R at City Rockers before founding Crosstown Rebels in 2003. The label became a cornerstone of underground electronic music, championing artists including Jamie Jones and Maceo Plex. Raised in London and now based in Los Angeles, he is known for hypnotic, ritualistic house, his live band project Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons, and Day Zero — the desert gathering he conceived around the date the Mayan calendar ended.
